My cousins were over this weekend and me being the weirdo I am I decided that I wanted to have a huge photoshoot in my messy room (which became even more messy as we ripped my closet apart trying on clothes.) Here is an adorable shot my ten-year-old lil couz. At first I wanted my other cousin, Mikaela to dress up as a very pretty boy, but she was being mean and said no. PARTYPOOPER! I don't have many guy friends willing to model for me so I thought it might be cool and fun if she dressed up all masculine, but NOOO!

Hem hem..anyway I took quite a few good shots of my other cousin Birgitta. Mikaela, got boring as she was dressed up like a grrrl so yeah that's dumb.

Boring right? I told ya so! Mickey's wearing all of my clothes. The dress is from Charolette Russe, tights from Delias, and the shoes are by Jessica Simpson that I got from TJ Maxx.

Eh I guess it's not really boring, its actually a pretty good fashion shot on her part, her legs look good. I still think it would have been more fun if she dressed up as a man. Hmm...maybe I could have done it... - it would have been a pretty good modeling exercise fore me...that's an idea.

Haha here's one of Birgitta with her blondie hair in her face - still braided from St. John's I see little girl. It just reminded me of a Marc Jacobs ad so I loved it! So I went with it and gave it some Juergen Teller lighting =] looove his photographs!!

So I laughed sooo hard after showing my Dadio this shot. I quote "She looks like a little 'Annie Orphan!'" Hahaha my Dad quite commonly describes my style as Annie Orphan mixed with 70's underground punk haha, love you, Dad. She is quite the resourcefull little nugget, this one. She didn't bring a whole lot of clothes when she came to sleep over so I went through my closet and clothed her in an Alice In Wonderland T-shirt from ZARA, a Sugarfly leather jacket from Macy's, a pair of Betsey Johnson knee-hi socks from TJ Maxx (or Marshell's - I can't quite recall) and my Union Jack Docs. OH! and she also insisted on picking out her own bag >_< my other union jack goodie from a London gift shop, whose name I can't recall.

Above is a better view of the t-shirt and the socks, they are pink and dark blue striped with a pink skull on the back. This girl needs to be a model she's just so adorable in my oversized clothes.

And now for the one lone shot taken of me. Haha funny how I looove taking  pictures (of myself included) and this was just about the only picture taken of me this weekend.

L O N D O N C A L L I N G !

Whoop I have been MIA for at least three months and yeah I'm bored so I decided to post about this outfit.

Verrry me at the moment. I have been feeling very London underground punk, if you haven't noticed.

 Faux-leather skirt with zipper-detailing from Metropark. What I like about this skirt that the little zippers on the sides actually work so you can give your legs more freedom.

These are my favorite staple at the moment; my Union Jack Dr. Martens. I wear them just about everywhere. My mom got these for me online a couple weeks ago and I've hardly taken them off since. I got the black torn leggings from Marshell's and I got the I.N.C. vest from Macy's.

Stonyish earings from 344; they may look like they way more than my house, but they're actually pretty light. I actaully wore this out the other day and some people asked me where I was from...yeah I didn't fake it and tell them I was from England, but I was pretty tempted to do so!

My mom took me to London last summer for my 16th birthday and we went insane in the gift shops with all of the union jacks and Londonesque stuff. It was awesome and eversince then I wear one the things I bought pretty much everyday. Hehe this is a picture of me in London. Is it me or does my eye look like its twitching...

2009 ipod owners

Jack White is my idol and when I found out he was starting another band with Alison Mosshart (lead singer of the Kills) I almost had a heartattack. The Dead Weather's Horehound came out a few days before I left for Europe and it completely owned my iPod on the plane and during those long bus rides in the country. I'm going to borrow a description of the band from Jack White and say that their sound sounds like a bear's three collective swipes. It's pretty hard for me to pick a favorite song on this album because the whole album is outstanding.

Okay I know it's really lame to put up the New Moon soundtrack as one of my favorites albums, but I seriously listen to this like everyday. I found a lot of new bands that I like from this soundtrack. That is the point of being put on a soundtrack. The songs are mournful and kind of depressiong, but it works because that is what New Moon was supposed to be. My favorite song would have to be Roslyn by Bon Iver & St. Vincent. I'll never get sick of this song.

Okay I know this didn't come out this year, but it still owned my ipod from the time I got it to now! I actually found the Kills a while ago, but I didn't really get into them until last June. This album is made up of VV's distored voice and hard guitar, making one of the most original albums I've heard this year. Keep On Your Mean Side was the Kill's first album and it was the first one I bought because I couldn't leave without it (and because it had the most songs.) My favorite song on the album is The Search For Cherry Red just for that sexy taste of danger in every syllable.

I'm still trying to figure out what the yellow thing is...anyone know? So I found the Yeah Yeah Yeahs through Gossip Girl. Whoever does the music for that show is awesome. I would like to have coffee with her someday. ANYWAY! It's Blitz is my #5 album for the year. The whole thing just makes me want to dance. I can't figure out which song is my favorite. I've been listening to Heads Will Roll nonstop for the past 24 hours, but I love the slower songs like Soft Shock and Hysertic. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were my spring break soundtrack.

I've loved the Raveonettes ever since I heard Aly, Walk With Me last spring, but for some reason I wasn't so crazy about Lust. I remember I had just found the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Raveonettes were listed under the "Listeners Also Bought" heading. In And Out Of Control came out in October and I bought, not expecting another album from them for a while. I listened to it once and I was hooked, my favorite song being Gone Forever. I even got my mom into them.

Obviously I am including soundtracks in this list =) Like I said in a previous post I loved Jennifer's Body and of course I bought the soundtrack. It had to perfect combination of pop and rock and I loved every song. The only song I didn't include on my iPod was Running After Chip, because there was an incident when I woke up in the middle of the night to this song and I totally freaked out. This is another album that I cannot find a favorite, I love them all.

Jeez I remember New Year's Eve last year. I went to the funeral of someone I barely knew, I really hate doing that, I don't know anyone. Then a huge snow storm broke out and my aunt was driving me and my cousins to a hotel for the night, because there was no way we were driving all the way home. So we were stranded at the Holiday Inn. It was fun we watched Elf for the millionth time. I can even remember the music that ruled my iPod at that point. The Foals, Bloc Party, Radiohead...and I'm sure there were others I just don't remember.

This year I was home with my mom and we watched Dawson's Creek and ate pistachio nut muffins. I can't believe how fast 2009 went! I have a ton of great memories from this year that I wouldn't trade (wow...CORNDOG!) and I had a great year.

Maybe I should actually make some New Year's resolutions.

1. work on flattening my stomach for bikini season

2. uh...study harder and get up my Geometry grade

3. spend less and save more

4. work on spending less time at home and more time out with my girls.

5. satisfy all of my creative needs (ex: grab and friend and use her as a model for my photographs!)

6. write more

7. work on getting my half turns perfect (a.k.a. kick-ass in modeling class)

8. Find more albums to own my iPod in 2010

Ladyhawke, bon iver, temper trap, the editors, the black keys...OH MY!

I was given a $25 iTunes gift card for Christmas last week and of course I spent it all in one go. Here's what I've bought so far. I still have about $2.00 left over so...

I found on article on her in a Teen Vogue from last year. I was bored so I checked her out and loved it. It sounds like indie dance music. Who doesn't like dance music? My favorite song on here has to be Magic the video is awesome. It reminds me a lot of old music videos from the  80's. The guy in there is pretty hawt too.

Bon Iver did a collaboration with St. Vincent on the Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack. The song was called Roslyn and it's my favorite song at the moment, I could listen to it over and over. I decided to look them up on Pandora and I loved them. I bought this a few days ago and I have yet to fully listen to it, but so far I really like Flume. The whole album is very sweet, it's the kind of music that I wish someone would write about me.

I just recently saw (500) Days of Summer and I loved it! The whole story was all very sweet. The soundtrack was great too, but I didn't buy it (I was running out of dough on my iTunes card [I had about $5.00 left on my card by then.]) I didn't buy the whole Temper Trap album either, just Sweet Desposition. The song just makes me feel happy. It practically owns my iPod right now.

Another Twilight-related band. I'm sorry they just put such good music on that soundtrack, I listen to it practically everyday! I loved No Sound But The Wind so of course I looked them up on iTunes too. I sadly couldn't buy the whole album, but I did buy An End Has A Start which is one of my favorites on the album.

I'm a huge White Stripes fan, so I made a station for them on Pandora and the Black Keys came up. I love their sound. Dan Auerbach has an awesome voice. I'm such a sucker for blues-rock bands, they just sound so cool. I only bought I Got Mine, which is yet another song that makes me happy. I'll have to be extra nice to my mommy so that she'll let me buy the rest of the album =)

Oh and...

I bought the Woman King - EP a couple weeks ago, but I think it's good enough to blog about. I've had Iron & Wine on my iPod for a while (Naked As We Came; Love And Some Verses; Flightless Bird, American Mouth) but when I looked up Bon Iver, Iron & Wine came up too and I really liked a bunch of the songs. I bought this because I heard Jezebel and I really liked it.

My taste in music changes a lot, but these days I've been really into Folk-rock.
