Kylie, Jesse, and I took a trip to Salem, MA about two weeks ago to hear our friend, Neil, DJ at the Gulu-Gulu Cafe. We were only there for the evening and we're planning on hopefully taking another trip down there sometime this fall. I just adore the witchy vibe!

lowell folk festival

Here are some shots from my experience at the Lowell Folk Festival on Sunday. Kylie and I met up in downtown Lowell with my cousins and we spent the afternoon wandering the streets of Lowell, listening to folk music, posing for pictures with various characters, and browsing through the various craft stands. I went a little crazy when I came across a stand selling nothing by Native American trinkets; including some earthy arrowhead necklaces that have become mine and Kylie's friendship charms. We saw a range of odd characters including an old guy in bootyshorts and super sandwich! We also browsed through a stand that sold (unreasonably expensive) jewlery made with polished rocks. Kylie found a peice that said "Namaste" on it and of course I wished that I had the cash to shell out for it. Once we were officially exhausted from walking, we retired to Iced Chai Lattes at our favorite little coffee shop in Lowell, Brewed Awakening.

Rome, Italy: February 26-28

I'M BACK! I actually got back March 6, but I've just been so busy with school, and dance, and Russian club. It's funny thinking of the almost-catastrophe that occured during third period the Friday we left for Italy. I realized that I left Cammy at home...God only knows how many beats my heart skipped. Luckily, my parents are merciful people and agreed to bring me Cammy right after school. If it hadn't have been for that I wouldn't have anything to show for my trip - well aside from a bunch of rings and a leather jacket. These photographs are my favorites that I took in Rome; I took TONS of photos during the trip so I decided to put them up by city. I was a bit of a creeper in Italy - I took a lot of photos of random people; including some girly with an awesome leather bag, a man and a woman painting, and a girl with killer fringe cowboy boots. Rome was just as incredible as it was before, if not even more so with the fact that I was with my friends this time. I shall being uploading photos from our two-night stay in Sorrento as well as in Florence and Venice, within the next few days!

6. My most prized possession is my Canon Powershot S5 IS; I love her some much I named her Cammy, which is short for "Cameron"

7. I have a list of photo shoot concepts that I started writing on a piece of graph paper when I got bored in math class. I keep it in my purse and whenever inspiration strikes I jot it down.

Happy almost New Year! Heading into Burlington today for some shopping then heading over to Lexii's at six for New Year's. Should be a pretty stellar day. Tomorrow, on New Year's Day I will beginning a new project, which I will explain when tomorrow comes, but until then enjoy the New Year's activities! This is the infamous Free People dress that I've been blogging about all vacation. I know its kind of hidden under the vest, but it will be shown a little more at a later date.

Oakley and I went into Boston last night to see the Boston Ballet's production of the Nutcracker, which was pretty exciting for me, who is a dancer and neverbefore seen it live! So naturally I was PUMPED! We walked around a while on Newbury St. (one of my favorite places in the world) and later had dinner at P.F. Chang's which tasted amazing. Our trip went quite smoothly until our GPS freaked out on us and we ended up in Concord...weird, but besides that minor setback we arrived home with pleasant thoughts of snowflakes and sugar plum fairies.
