snow day

Snow day today! It is too glorious for words and it couldn't come at a better time! I've been up to my forehead in work that was all due yesterday so having a snow day today was the perfect way to get some downtime. I know that you all know by now that "downtime" is code for obsessive photography the crap out of anything around me. So today it was the magnificent blizzard outside my window. I actually woke up this morning, opened my window, stuck my camera outside, and took pictures from my second-floor window! Then I decided that there were plenty of things to shoot on the ground too so I went outside. Let's just saw that my black, midlength UGGs had become white, thigh-high boots within a few minutes. I was beginning to get worried about Cammy getting too wet so I came inside; my lense was beginning to fog up anyway.

Also before braving the cold snowy day to get these photographs, I did I bit of much-needed video-editing. This video features Mikaela & Birgitta on a crisp fall day just after Thanksgiving. I love how long it takes me to edit my video projects. We also took a bunch of photographs which I have posted about before.

pilgrimage

(Free People lace slip, thrifted silky robe, Kelsi Dagger wedges, knit headband from Metropark, Forever 21 & Lucky Brand rings.)

Not sure what to call my paisely, silky robey-thingy...I got it Saver's and I was drawn to it for some reason and I don't even like paisely! I threw it on with the slip that I was wearing (which happened to be this one) and I liked the way they looked together. On top of that its from Saver's so if you frequently shop at Saver's like I do, you'll get it. We don't have a lot of thrift stores around here so I have to buy most of my things new, but Saver's is awesome because I find SICK stuff that I can't find anywhere else. The headband was on sale at Metropark a while ago and I never really thought to wear it around my forehead until yesterday when I looking for a thick band to wear.

Yesterday was a good day. BLACK SWAN was amazing! It gave me just the right dose of my favorite things - ballet, insanity, beautiful people, and RODARTE! Being a dancer, myself I now find it odd that I've never seen Swan Lake; this of course will change as soon as possible. I have a new-found respect for Natalie Portman. I'm so glad that I finally got to see it. After seeing a morning showing of Black Swan and got lunch at Panera with some friends and then we played a few rounds of mall hide-and-seek. I don't know if you've ever played this, but if you're ever done with peering in the windows of stores whose glorious contents are unaffordable on your budget try it out!

OH! BTW the black lace Free People dress came yesterday! LOVE!

I <3 Movies

I will update you on all of the media fun I have been watching lately! Yesterday my friend and I had an enormous Sailor Moon marathon. It was pretty awesome. They all look so cute.

I was like obsessed with this show when I was 10. My friend found the videos I have in my room and decided it would be fun to watch. We were so bored. So we ended up watching like all of the them. It was pretty awesome. They're all so cute! I understand why I loved it so much when I was little. It's so cute and happy.

3 CHEERS FOR HAPPINESS!!!

And then today my Rae and I went to the mall just to get Jennifer's Body on DVD. We were so cool. What? I liked that movie. I went to see it twice!

Yeah I love Megan Fox.

Then we watched (500) Days of Summer on Demand, which I have been wanted to see since it was in theaters in the summer. It's probably on my top 10 at the moment. My friends and I didn't like the ending too much though. We're not Summer's biggest fans either. I've got to say though Zooey Deschanel has amazing eyes, I am so jealous.
