sunday, bloody (awesome) sunday

This weekend was epic in many ways. One of these ways was that I could finally drive around with people in my car. I've had to drive around in my car all by myself for the past 6 months (thanks to Massachusetts state law) and it was fun to hear people in my car who weren't Shakira or Devendra Banhart. I spent the better part of my weekend with Jesse and Kylie, driving up to the park with a box of cold pizza, a tin of banana chips, and some leftover sushi - all-in-all a very good picnic. We also discovered a few new shops at the mall, including an AMAZING Indian clothing store where I (kinda) went crazy buying bangles in every color. I guaranteed the people working there that "I would be back." We also made a stop at Petco because Kylie wanted to look at the animals, which I realized happened to have a missing section in my portfolio. The freedom and cruising around with my buds really was a tease for the freedom to come with the end of the school year and the beginning of my Senior summer!

NTMM (note to my Mother) The last picture was taken while I was stopped in a parking lot NOT while I was driving.

angus & julia stone

This song is so incredibly beautiful that it even sounds amazing acoustically! I was listening to the acoustic station on the way home night and the acoustic version came on. I fell in love with it - I could listen to it all day. It really doesn't have all that much to do with actual planes, but I can tell that this will be on my plane-travel playlist during my 30-hour trip to Vietnam next February!

these little piggys

I got a bit bored of my usual jewlery uniform of rings, bracelets, pendant, and earings so I decided to venture out to the wonderful world of Walmart (...yeah I know) in search of something I hadn't worn since my preteen days - toe rings! I figure, with summer vacation just around the corner and sandal season upon us, why not adorn my little piggys with some rings of their own?

dream weaver

My friend Casey got bored today during Anatomy class and decided to attack my hair with braids. She ended up braiding my entire head and then braiding all the smaller braids together. This was the result. It looked awesome, but it was hell to get out!

cooler than me

(Micheal Kores t-shirt, Allen B. skirt, shoes from Saver's, Forever 21 bracelets, Decree armor ring)

My Mom and I went on a little shopping spree today. We dropped a few things off at Saver's and ended up buying some shoes. I've been looking for a great pair of flatforms for a while now and I managed to find these for $8! I fell in love with this skirt when I first tried it on; it also looked a lot like one that I was lusting after at Free People. I love how you can see the mini slip under the peek-a-boo lace! Also, this ring makes me feel like I'm wearing a suit of armor.

Oh and just in case you were wondering about the bag...

My Mom actually made it! If you like it and would like to have one made the cost is $100. You can email me for more information

ring master

(Rings from Forever 21 and Lucky Brand)

Here's just a peek at my finds this weekend! I went shopping at TJ Maxx with my Mom yesterday and found this great ring from Lucky Brand on sale there. Then today, I went to the Rockingham Mall with my friend, Marissa to help her find make up for Prom this Friday. So I ended up looking at makeup AND going into Forever 21 for a bit and got this piece of amazingness. I also got a navy top with butterfly sleeves and a necklace.

green onions

Today was a great Saver's day. My Mom sent me there today to exchange a few things that my Dad didn't want. They don't actually give you your money back, they give you store credit, which is quite alright in my book. I ended up going a little crazy in the dress department and walked out with this flowly, seventies number...along with a cart full of scarves and a few other pieces. I absolutely love this dress! It has just the right combination of color and butterfly flowiness that makes me happy!

there's a she wolf on my t-shirt!

(Metropark pleather skirt; the Mountain t-shirt; Dolce Vita sandals; Naturalizer suede bag; necklace, bangles, and owl ring from Forever 21; sun ring from market in Florence; brace ring from Nordstrom; and braided bracelets from assorted markets in Europe)

I bought this wolf t-shirt during my trip to New York this week and I must say that I am obsessed with it. I've worn it almost everyday since I got it. I have an issue with collars so I cut the collar of this t-shirt out to show a little more skin. I'm kind of in love with the Mountain's t-shirts; I've got my eye on one with a dreamcatcher on it. I got the skirt about a year ago in Burlington and hadn't figured out to incorporate it into my wardrobe until recently. The suede bag was my Mom's (before I stole it) and I must say that it's probably my favorite bag that I own. I'm not sure if anyone else has looked at Free People's April catelogue, but it is probably my favorite to date. The way everything was put together was amazing! I really probably should have posted about it before this month turned to May...aw well! But anyway the way they wore jewlery in this catelogue has really inspired me to just pile it all on!

new york was great

I was in New York in Tuesday and Wednesday to visit NYU, one of my dream schools for college. The last time I was there, I was seven and deaf and blind to the unusual wonders of New York City. Also, I was with my grandma so... I journeyed to the city with my good friend, Rae, and my Dad and we spent the last two days walking around and sitting under blossoming trees. It was quite an experience; some first-hand encounters with same of NYC's craziest people, amazing street food, and probably the most unusual streetlife I've ever seen in my life; including a random guy walking around with a parrot on his shoulder and a guy with an afro made of tulle.
