uhm...epic?

Another Saver's find; Steve Madden leather platforms booties! It seems that I always find shoes there; I can't remember the last time I bought a "new" pair of shoes

cooler than me

(Micheal Kores t-shirt, Allen B. skirt, shoes from Saver's, Forever 21 bracelets, Decree armor ring)

My Mom and I went on a little shopping spree today. We dropped a few things off at Saver's and ended up buying some shoes. I've been looking for a great pair of flatforms for a while now and I managed to find these for $8! I fell in love with this skirt when I first tried it on; it also looked a lot like one that I was lusting after at Free People. I love how you can see the mini slip under the peek-a-boo lace! Also, this ring makes me feel like I'm wearing a suit of armor.

Oh and just in case you were wondering about the bag...

My Mom actually made it! If you like it and would like to have one made the cost is $100. You can email me for more information

ciao!

So...I leave from Rome, Italy tomorrow night and I'm not going to lie I'm jumping up and down inside! This is just a random shot that I took of the things that I was packing before I shoved them in my suitcase. Among them are my new suede moccassins that I picked up at Saver's the other day. These will be my walking shoes for the majority of my trip. I will be traveling with Cammy in tow so I will be sure to have a lot of stuff to upload when I get back. I'm no good with goodbyes so I will leave you with this, cyberworld, CIAO BELLA!

the cold has killed us

(Free People lace dress, Forever 21 wool floppy hat, vintage belt, and Kelsi Dagger wedges)
(Small sign of life outside today, standing in a massive snow storm yesterday, and my Kelsi Dagger wedges post-snow storm)

I was sitting in my room today, stretching, wondering what I should do for my 365 today when I looked out the window to watch the snow fall. That's when I saw this, a few orange leaves still attached to the big maple tree outside my bedroom window. I thought it was odd that with all the snow storms we've had ...in Boston, these few colored leaves had managed to stay on the branch. I had been thinking of uploading another photo of the snow storm, but I decided that I was sick of all the white. I've been anxiously waiting for spring to bring some color into this snowy landscape and today it did.
Yesterday was a pretty good day; my Mom dismissed me from school at 9:30 due to a massive snow storm and I spent the rest of the day running around in the snow with Cammy in tow. You may be wondering what you're looking at in the second picture; well the answer is me standing in the middle of the storm (black suede wedges and all.) My Daggers were covered in snow by the time I came inside, I had to put them by the fire so that all the snow would melt. I kind of wish I'd gotten a shot of the Daggers right after I took them off, but whatever, chances are that I will get one eventually the way I run out during storms.

kings of the wild frontier

(Silk rober from Saver's, Echo Park t-shirt from Metropark, Bull Head denim leggings from PacSun, Jeffrey Campbell clogs, ring and pendant both from Forever 21)

I'm such a goof I told myself that all I was going to do this weekend was study, study, study; but that's when I realized that I going to have to take a break at some point. Yep, this is how I spent my breaktime. I got these clogs back in June, and I've been trying to figure out where to wear them ever since and a trip to Burlington tomorrow seems like the perfect opportunity. I never really thought to pair them with jeans until today...weird. I've been wearing these "denim leggings" for weeks - they're so comfy and they fit just right!

new year's eve dress

(Free People dress, Dalia Collection vest, Me Too heels, Forever 21 necklace, and circle specks from Saver's.)

Happy almost New Year! Heading into Burlington today for some shopping then heading over to Lexii's at six for New Year's. Should be a pretty stellar day. Tomorrow, on New Year's Day I will beginning a new project, which I will explain when tomorrow comes, but until then enjoy the New Year's activities! This is the infamous Free People dress that I've been blogging about all vacation. I know its kind of hidden under the vest, but it will be shown a little more at a later date.

bulletproof heart

(Calvin Klein cotton sweater, Marc by Marc Jacobs slip dress, Kelsi Dagger platform wedges, Free people cross-shoulder bag, Forever 21 & Lucky Brand rings.)

I got this Calvin Klein Sweater for Xmas the other day and decided that it was the perfect mixture of style and comfort. I got the dress a while ago and decided to throw it on. I practically begged my mom to get me the platforms and the bag was on sale at the Free People store in Burlington.

AND speaking of Free People my mom just informed me that she ordered me the lace dress that I've been wanting since I saw it in the Free People holiday lookbook! I can't wait for it to come! Also I have yet to go into Burlington to spend some Xmas dough and go shopping online for some shoes...

New Bass Oxfords!

Went to Macy's today with my mom and got these Bass oxfords! My mom's always talked about how she used to wear Bass shoes all the time when she was younger and I didn't realize why until today. The leather is soft and perfectly worn; I cannot wait to wear these on Monday. It's funny because just last night in the line outside of Cinemagic to see the midnight opening of Harry Potter 7.1 (which was awesome btw) Jill and I saw a girl rocking brown oxfords with denim shorts and black tights. It was funny because I was wearing like the same thing, but with black oxfords. I wouldn't have bought these if they were like my black Jeffrey Campbell oxfords but in brown. I am currently watching Monster's Inc. and dreaming about the upcoming TWO-DAY week of school. I have a lot planned for Thanksgiving break and it's all very awesome and exciting!

in my shoes + mixtape #2

(Jeffrey Campbell wooden clogs, Dr. Martens, Jeffrey Campbell for Free People studded oxfords & cork wedges, thrifted white moccasins, Kelsi Dagger wedge booties)

So over the summer I began my "cool" shoe collection; before this summer my shoes consisted of a pair of black, buckled UGG boots and a million pairs of converse, which I hardly even wear anymore. I got into Jeffrey's after looking for a pair of heeled clogs that looked like the ones from Chanel S/S 2010 and found these at Nordstrom. I loved them so much that I went on solestruck.com and found at least a million pairs of shoes that I love - I've been hooked since then.

These brown Docs are not my only pair - they're the only pair that I wear regularly. They're actually supposed to be my mom's, but she never wears them...because I wear them all the time! I got them in June and thought they were way too awesome to wait to wear until fall so I broke them in pretty fast in that hot, humid, New England weather. They look pretty old now - just the way I them!

I got the Jeffrey Campbell oxfords and the wedges in the same order on sale from Free People. The oxfords were supposed to be my school shoes (Catholic school with uniform) but I'm pretty sure that now that its cold enough to wear tights and flats I'll be wearing these more places than just school. I wore the wedges out a lot towards the end of the summer and also quite a few times to school on free dress days (days when we can wear whatever-the-hell we want) and I've gotten a bunch of compliments.

Alright so these "Walkables" are pretty much Minnetonka knock-offs. I actually have a legit pair - hmm probs should have included those...whatever I'm too lazy to add - but the sole fell off the first time I wore them out so I felt pretty jibbed. I fixed them with hot glue. ANYWAY I found these at Saver's for $8 which is WAY less then what I paid for the Minnetonkas. I've been wearing these a lot just because I love the beaded bird on the front and I really...don't have any white shoes.
*GASP!*

These black wedge booties are the newest edition to my collection...and have yet to be worn outside the house. I was SO close to wearing them out the other day BUT I found something cooler to wear...pretty sure it was the Docs...I'll wear these eventually, but I <3 them so it won't be a problem. I got them at Marshall's for a pretty good price along with a pair of knee-high boots, which I was also going to include in this post, but couldn't figure out to properly shoot them sooo. You'll see them eventually; they're the kind of boots that look better on than not.
